This rattan basket bag is handwoven by artisans in the village of Lombok, east of Bali, using time-honoured techniques passed down through generations. At 31 × 25 cm it's the right size for a daily carry — wallet, phone, keys, and a few extras — without being too bulky. The genuine brown leather strap is comfortable for all-day shoulder wear and adds a quality detail to the natural rattan exterior.
The Ata reed is smoked over coconut husks during the traditional drying process, which gives the rattan its characteristic warm golden colour and long-term durability. Any light natural scent fades over time. The Batik lining inside varies in colour and print between pieces. Slight differences in weave, size, and hardware are normal for handmade bags — no two are exactly the same.
